STUDENT PROJECT DONE!
We are coming to the end of our technology class and I must admit I have learned a great deal but also realized how much I really did not know about the world of technology. My sons helped me out by being my "class". What a great job they did! Individual meetings are this week and a final accounting of what needs to be done to complete the class. Three months sure have flown by!

Finishing Projects!
Only a few weeks left in class and now it is time to finish projects! After writing a lesson plan for my students' glogster page, I am finally ready to implement the final taping and write-up. They will be demonstrating a marbled paper project. Ready, set, marble!!

Project To Be Completed With My Students
One of my main objectives to complete within the next two weeks was to have two of my students complete the assignment that I turned in last week. Unfortunately, after sending an email to potential students, I have received no replies for participation. I have talked my own children, one of whom I still teach, into completing the assignment. I was disappointed in that I really wanted some of my art students to work on this "Art" assignment. After teaching my own children for the past eleven years, I know they will do an excellent job!

YOUTUBE! HOW EASY IS THAT!
Tonight, I learned something that has been at my fingertips all the time. Youtube Videos!! How cool is it that I can upload directly from my phone! We were given a new project also. I am very anxious to start!! Hopefully, all will turn out well, with no glitches. Fingers crossed and poised on the keyboard, here I go again!

HANGOUTS AND THE FLIPPED CLASSROOM
Flipped Classroom!! This is going to be so much fun. Tonight, we talked about the flipped classroom and how we could use it to help our students. I think this would work wonderfully in my art classroom because of our short time in class. Usually I spend the first 10 to 15 minutes explaining background, procedures, etc. The flipped classroom can possibly cut this time in half or even eliminate this time....giving more time to creating ART!! Can not wait to start next week!

Social Media/Google
Once again, my classroom experience was dampened by the inability to connect to internet for most of the class. Luckily, my phone gave me access to some parts of the exercises. I already have some of the accounts that we were required to join, so I am not too far behind. Frustration often sets in when I am unable to follow the instructor on my or the school provided equipment. It is kind of like going to a math class without a pencil to work problems or a literature class without a copy of the story. Oh well....., it will work out!
